The Project 9 video, Rose Trellis Afghan has been released and is now available from our online store.

Although this afghan may look like a difficult one, it really is quite easy. As always, the video will guide you through every step from start to finish.

You do not have to know anything about reading patterns in order to complete this project. The stitches used to create this afghan are the slip stitch, single crochet, double crochet, and half double crochet stitches.

Rose Trellis Afghan Sneak Preview

31 August, 2006 (20:24) | General | No comments

OK, it’s hard to deny the fact that I have not been keeping this blog very active, and that’s probably quite the understatement!

Now is as good as time as any to put a few words and a picture or two here as a “sneak preview” of Project 9, The Rose Trellis Afghan.

Shooting for the video has been completed and it is going through the process of final editing and should be available right after Labor Day. For our friends outside the U.S., Labor Day, A major U.S. holiday falls on September 4 this year.

If  you have signed up for our mailing list, you should receive an e-mail soon announcing the availability of the video. Like all our videos, it will be available for immediate download, on DVD or on CD.

I thought some of you might like to have a look at it, so here is the afghan that was featured as the “star” of the Project 9 video.

This afghan was featured in a Coats & Clark pattern book from 1961 and is described there as follows:

“Simple crocheted squares with pretty pink roses sewn in the center. An Attractive afghan for a country-style bedroom.”

As you can see, I didn’t use any pink yarn for mine. It’s always fun to try your own ideas and see how things turn out.

That’s all for now. I’m going to put more effort into posting stuff here once in a while. More than once a year, that is!

Project 5, Fall Poncho Released

25 September, 2005 (19:29) | General | No comments

It’s been a while since I have written here. With the warm summer weather, it is easy to get involved with other things. Like spending time outdoors and BBQ!

Now that fall has officially arrived, and we are starting to feel a chill in the air here in New Hampshire, we have started to work on new projects that are inspired by the changing seasons.

Our latest instructional video is “Project 6, Fall Poncho,” and is now available in the online store section of our website.

Our “Fall Poncho” is very similar in style to the one made famous by Martha Stewart.

Like all our project videos, complete step-by-step instructions guide you through everything you need to do in order to create your own “Fall Poncho.”

Well, my Project 3 Video has been released. The project is a super-sized beach tote! You can follow the video step by step to create your own tote. I also include instructions in the video on how to make a smaller tote if that’s more to your liking.

It’s very hot and humid here in NH, but I’m still having alot of fun with my crocheting. I’m also have SO much fun in my Forum We just finished our 2nd mystery crochet along! That is where we swapped patterns, without the pictures and had to guess as we were doing the pattern what we were working on…it has been alot of fun!

I’ve also been doing up alot of projects. I just finished this bucket hat. It was a very easy pattern! This will be for my mother to match her poncho that I made her this spring.

A Cute Project

27 June, 2005 (14:07) | General | No comments

Here is a tissue box cover that I also just finished. I really loved doing this project. It’s even cuter in person!!!!!! I’ll be making quite a few of these for gifts. It really doesn’t take much time to make either. I can’t wait to get started on more of them in different colors!

More Projects Finished!

23 May, 2005 (00:04) | General | No comments

I have finally finished the “Vintage Popcorn Granny Afghan” that I was making for my friend for her birthday surprise.

It came out so pretty, I’m really pleased with it. It’s hard to see in the picture, but there is green around the popcorns…

Right now, I am working on a beach bag for my next video. Hopefully that will be ready for release next week. I figured since the warmer weather is coming, it would be nice to make something that we can use during the summer season! This bag is not from a pattern…just doing it on my own with granny squares.

If you want to learn to crochet your own beautiful projects..you can visit my Website I have received nothing but wonderful comments on how people have tried to learn other ways, unsuccessfully, and have learned very quickly following my videos! That makes me feel soooo good! And if you already crochet, I have a Crochet Forum We’d love to have more members joining…we have alot of fun there. And we are all crochet addicts..LOL You don’t have to be a experienced crocheter to join the forum. We have crochet alongs which is great for that not so experienced crocheter…we have alot of patterns to look at, and we have a fun place for you to visit! Please join in the fun, I’d love to have you!

I’ve also been very busy doing some projects. Since finishing the “Vintage Popcorn Granny” afghan, (my friend absolutely LOVED it), I have been wanting to work on smaller projects. Not ready to do a “big” project just yet. Here is a crochet hook case that I really needed to organize my hooks. This was challenging to make, but fun at the same time!

One thing I absolutely love making is baby clothes, especially dresses…so here’s a dress that I really enjoyed making!

I needed a tote to carry all my crocheting supplies in when I go out..so I made this tote.

I made this remote caddy to have another place to put them rather than laying on the table.

I thought this was cute when I saw the pattern, so I decided to make myself one!

I also thought this was cute so I made one for my kids bathroom since the paper rolls are usually thrown all over the floor. Now there’s a nice neat place to keep them. And I also made one for my mother…

So, as you can see, I’ve been busy. Right now I’m working on a rug for the kids bathroom……It’s coming along nicely…….

Happy Crocheting!

Project 2, Hat Video is Released!

25 April, 2005 (14:15) | General | No comments

Project 2 takes you through the creation of a hat. This hat is made using single crochet, double crochet and the puff stitch. The puff stitch can be replaced with a double crochet (mentioned in video) to make a more “masculine” looking hat. Perfect for those chilly days.

This hat fits older children and adults. This hat is easy to do when you follow along with the video.

All project videos are intended for people with some crochet experience. If you have already mastered the material in Beginner Volumes 1 & 3 you should be well prepared.

Hope you all enjoy the video!

Happy Crocheting!

Hat Video Coming Soon!

20 April, 2005 (23:32) | General | No comments

I just finished a hat that I made for my hat video. This is project 2 in my line of videos. This one takes you through the creation of this hat since I know it’s much easier to follow along than reading a pattern! You can see my line of videos at my Website This hat is made with single crochet, double crochet and puff stitches (explained in video). We hope to have the hat video published this weekend or early next week! Stay tuned! :)

This recent project has to be absolutely the cutest baby set I’ve ever done! I just saw it one day and had to make it. I bought the yarn Wednesday and Wednesday evening it was done. It’s so much fun to work and very quick also. Once you get started, you can’t stop!

You can also visit my Forum It’s really a fun place to come and talk crochet, get lots of patterns and show off your projects!

Happy Crocheting!

I Love the Warm Weather!

19 April, 2005 (06:55) | General | No comments

Oh how I love the warm weather. Finally warming up a bit here in NH. Although it’s always perfect crocheting weather in the winter, I do look forward to the warmer weather. And I plan to continue on my crocheting projects. I have so many things on my “to do” list that I’m just going to knock them off one at a time. I usually wait until there’s a need for something…like a baby coming to make baby things. Well, I’m not doing that anymore. I’m just going to make all the things I think are cute and I’ll have them whenever the need comes up.

I’ve already got a great start on Christmas….in fact, I may even be done! LOL I have to check my inventory though..

I just finished a paperback book cover tote that was a crochet along in my Forum. I really love this little tote, no one can spy on what you are reading at the beach or wherever you might be.. :)

Right now, I am working on a hat video and hopefully will have that published next week. Well, that’s about it in my crochet happy world…If you are interested in learning to crochet..and don’t know where to start..you might want to check out my Website or click LCN Home page at the top of this page. There is a variety of videos that you can learn from and you’ll be crocheting in no time. I’ve received SO many responses back from people that have used my videos to learn crochet and they are so excited that they now know how to crochet….especially after trying to learn from books or pictures and directions. These videos are the way to go! Until next time…Happy Crocheting!
