Volume 4 provides instruction for reading patterns. Patterns can be confusing to read, especially for the beginning crocheter. Volume 4 clears up much of the confusion regarding patterns by demonstrating the actual stitches and methods that are indicated in many crochet patterns.

If you have attempted to read patterns and found things like: ch 5 (counts as first dc plus ch 2, now and throughout), turn; dc in next dc, (dc, ch 2, dc) in next ch-2 sp and in each ch-2 sp across confusing, then Volume 4 can help.

What you will need: Small amount of yarn you prefer to work with and your choice of crochet hook.
