Granny Squares are one of the easiest and most versatile crochet techniques you can learn. They can be used to create a wide variety of items including afghans, baby blankets, pocketbooks, ponchos and hats to name just a few.

Learning to crochet Granny Squares will enable you to make a very wide variety of crochet items using a very simple and easy technique.

Crocheters wishing to learn how to make Granny Squares should already be familiar with the chain stitch, single crochet and double crochet stitches. Instruction is provided for creating Granny Squares, changing colors and joining Granny Squares together.

What you will need: Small amount of worsted weight yarn in two colors (small skeins would be fine), Size G crochet hook.
